Dingo Bongo has a spectacular aura about
If you were introducing an eight year-old girl to philosophy...?

...which philosopher would you begin with and why?

My niece has started asking basic 'philosophical' questions about the existence of God, the nature of reality etc. If you were in my position, which philosophers would you think were the most accessible (Derrida and Chomsky aside) and why? What is your favourite philosophical argument and how would you explain it to a child? Finally, do you know of any interesting anecdotes about the great philosophers?
