why is it that universities teach mainly Western Philosophy..?

as opposed to Eastern. If you look at every single philosophy class in my university's philosophy dept. its basically all Western philosophy.

is it just simply more profound? are western philosophers better? we study all the brilliant philosophies of Descartes, Hume, Locke, etc. however when's the last time you've seen a class dedicated to some Chinese philosopher? why is this?
