There are too many people in the world that would choose to have you follow their beliefs, instead of letting you choose your own. Don't be afraid of truth. Investigate the Mormon church; you can decide for yourself whether it is true.
I haven't seen the South Park episodes. Most of the negative accusations that I have heard against the church are based on ignorance, spite, or envy.
Joseph Smith met every qualification to be called a prophet. He talked with God, received new scripture, received many great revelations, made many prophecies, and sealed his testimony with his own blood.
The Book of Mormon is a remarkable book that describes life from the viewpoint of ancient Hebrew prophets who lived in the Americas. Lehi was a prophet in Jerusalem who warned the Jews against the coming destruction circa 600 BC. The Lord warned him to leave Jerusalem as there were those who plotted to take his life. He was led by the hand of God, him and his family, to build a ship and journey to a new land. They ended up in America, where most of the Book of Mormon was written. Their prophets taught much the same things as other prophets in the Old Testament taught. Occasionally, they elaborated on subjects not found elsewhere in the scriptures, but overall the teachings of the Book of Mormon are in harmony with the teachings of the bible.

a) I do not believe Joseph Smith is the prophet of God
b) Yes, I could visit, but I do not think they are Christians because they do not believe Jesus is the Creator. They have their own Jesus

c) I do not watch that program

Nina is wrong. they are christians. the believe in Jesus, they believe he died for our sins, etc.

yes, i'd go. have been, actually. really nice people.

i think south park is right about all things. including organized religion.

the book of mormon is full of stories about loving one another, the importance of belief in god and Jesus, and the importance of family. much like the bible.

The book of Mormon is very similar to parts of the Old testament, where Prophets testify of Christ and God, and teach the 10 commandments and the Gospel of Love God and thy neighbor. Some parts of the truth are clearer in the book of Mormon, some parts are clearer in the Bible. The book of Mormon hits Pride more than the bible does. It rings from start to finish.

There are the same cycles in both books. There are longer periods of righteousness in the Book of Mormon, but just like in the bible, periods of rightiousness, and then not. Lots of wars in the Bof M just like the bible. Christs comes in the B of M after his resurrection. There is much more destruction in th B of M after his resurrection. All the unrighteous were killed and just the righteous remained. They lived a couple hundred years of righteous life, which I can't remember that amount of time in the Bible, except Enoch way back when. Then pride came up again, and sin. Just like the bible, when they were unrightious, God did not protect them. They were finally all killed off. The last Prophet was killed and they had an even worse dark ages than in the biblical lands. This is evident when Europeans came here, there is evidence of a very advanced civilization in Central America, but they were savages. They even had a written language and built hundreds of pyramids and city centers, but abandoned them and lived in small wig wams or shacks, except the Indians in Mexico City, they were still living in there more modern city, the Aztecs. Mayans left there cities to ruin.

To Correct the LDS person above. They were not ancient Hebrew Prophet. Lehi was a descendent of Ephraim, (Joseph) although he was a Prophet in Jerusalem.
