The difference is religion is a system of beliefs. Philosophy in a literal term is a way of life. The way you conduct or exercise your religion is a way of life. But Philosophy as a science, it deals more of a reasoning, which means you will know all things known or unknown through the light of natural reason. Belief has no place in Philosophy because belief signifies that you don't have a knowledge but you only believe becuse somebody has told you.
