A message from a stranger is sometimes worth more than a message from someone you know. People you know are biased. If it's from a stranger, people get a renewed sense of hope for the world.

My way of excersizing this philosophy:

I travelled overseas and did this, sometimes I left notes in the pockets of public transport seats, sometimes i'd set something odd as a screensaver on an internet cafe terminal, sometimes i even just do something random to make people smile, like hold up the "free hugs" sign, or dance with kids in the street.

at least one thing a day.

what do you think? And no, i'm not a hippy.

What a strange way you do in exercising your philosophy of life. That's great for it is indeed a human interaction to reach people. You have a good heart and a strong courage to connect with strangers and for me that is an odd thing to do but a different way for human connection. Indeed, part of this is this site as you connect to people unknown to you but bonded by the common factor which is philosophy. And am part of it already.

i do the same thing !!! well i live in france and people are sometimes, well they're french.. and i do that too like sing with a kid becaue i know the song, leave little notes in random places, always smile to people who look sad trying to say " everything's not lost" .. hey i'm really happy other people do it too, cause sometimes people look at me like i'm some freak.. but it's ok with me..
