| How can anybody argue with this philosophy?
"Life is like a box of chocolates. It's a cheap thoughtless perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable becuase all you ever get back is another box of chocolates, so you're stuck with this unidentifiable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing left to eat. Sure, once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or an English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with up with nothing but broken bits with hardened jelly and teeth-shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat that, all you have left is an empty box filled with useless brown paper wrappers." Not from Forrest Gump, that's not what he said, other than the start about the chocolates, not even close actually, in fact, they think they made his quote from this quote. And... it's hole, not whole or whhhole or whatever that was. @ quite new here ... wowsa I'm picky about the nuts I hang out with because they say crazy stuff. I tried to smoke almonds but they won't roll up in the paper right. I'm afraid to get brazil nuts cause I would have to pass headhunters and panthers and anacondas and snakes to climb a 150 foot tree I can't reach around in the rain. No I'll stick with the mashed ones that make butter of peanuts. I wish they would stamp on the chocolates what's in them because some of them I want to give away but I can't once I bit it you know? |

Pherhaps the peanut butter cup is fleeting,as well as the toffee. May this be a reward? Sure, life is hard and rewards are fleeting? Pherhaps your metaphors limit your construct/perspective of reality? WHy not enlarge your construct? You construct it, why not enlarge the box to the shop and maybe the street and city? Turkish Delight is also another delightful treat. |

I am very suspicious of someone who gets his philosophy from Forrest Gump. in your second sentence alone i can see some whholes in the thinking. I know of people who have asked for the gift. It is not prefunctory in any complete sense of the term and chocolates cheap? have you bought any lately! |
