Does anyone have any good philosophies for life?

i want spiritual enlightenment and im not sure where to look for it. my mom is a hardcore christian and im not sure i want that. i want an outlook on life that is mine

I was always told ; Do whatever you want in life, just make sure your happy. But don't hurt anybody else.
