Sunglasses?! Two problems--sunglasses may not be large enough to cover the front of the lens (well, not a point and shoot camera, I mean)--and second, it's no better than taking a photo with a Coke bottle--so use either a real filter, or do it with software.

If you are ready to start adjust color input into your camera, consider using filters. Sunglasses are not perfectly flat and can create some glare and other side effects. Consider using a Digitial SLR and playing with a polarizer or some color filters with B&W shots
