| I want to use my laptop (vista) to control my Canon S1 Is to do time lapse... ...photography,? Please suggets software either freeware or a product with a source please Geeze, i came to the right place, i really don't care if the camera needs to stay connected to the computer or if i can down load firmware that;ll do the job. | You are talking about "tethered" mode--which your camera does not support. I just looked at Canoneos.com to check If it does (my Canon DSLR does)--it would come with the software that is needed. Canon usually provides all the software you'd need without having to pay extra (as the other person has mentioned). The program controls the camera. Also, as soon as it takes a photo, the file is sent right to the computer and displayed on the screen with just a short moment delay. (That is not what you need though is it?) |
