Photography Backpack?

OK so to the photographers out there I really need your experiance on this one. I dont know what to get whos a good manufacture, if you get what you pay for or can i get away with something cheaper. I dont need something that can carry 20 lenses and 4 bodies. just 1 body maybe 2 and 4-6 lenses and some misc. gear. i would like to keep it as small as possible and light, but yet durable actually thats probally the most important is durable perferably water proof or at least resistant. you know something that will last me a while, something that i can have on my back at all times and still keep another pack with me and not be on my hands and knees crawling to my destination. just point me in the right direction if you could post links, it would be greatly appreciated thanks for you time.
