| Photography Project?
I'm in my senior year at university studying photography, and I'm taking a class which is known to be one of the hardest class through out the whole of the photography course, it's called Home. Self explanatory really, we have to define home visually in our own way, but this is more of a philosophical course than anything. Long story short, my project is about disintegrating my home. I'm taking personal objects that belong to me and to my family and friends that are at my home, destroying them beyond recognition and then photographing them (A lot of people aren't talking to me anymore :S) . And I need some ideas on what I could destroy. So far I've done: My boyfriends guitar My fathers chair My grandfathers Radio My sisters teddy bear My mothers telephone My Best friends mirror I'm running out of ideas!! I can use more than one thing from each person.. so just anything you think would look interesting would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Cat... how sinister! Actually chris! I do have an old camera that I don't use.. You're a genius, you are. I have been shooting all semester, my project has turned into this. I've gone from darkroom night photography, to video to finally digital studio shots. I've also had regular critiques with my instructor who has aided me in progressing with my work, and it has evolved to what it is now. I assure you, all the items i have taken i have been given permission to take (bitterly) but none the less. |
