I hate to be so blunt as there is no easy to say this. None of us gets paid to answer these questions, and to be "awarded" with 10 points for "best answer" is not worth spending hours and hours fixing someone's photo for free.

It takes a lot of work to retouch photos. Why should anyone spend their afternoon on Saturday to do this for anyone for free?

There are a few pros here and they are paid for their hard work. They on their free time give terrific advice on photography and camera in general, but I hardly think they will volunteer to fix someone's photos because someone just think it is a "cute" idea.

I am very sorry to be so harsh about this. We are mostly adults here and it's really not a playground.

If you want ideas, you would be better off looking at vintage photo books or websites with good photographs. When you see a style you like, try to learn more about the photo or photographer. Also, there's no such thing as a 'normal' photograph.

How vintage of a look are you going for... Look for historic landmarks, old signs, dairy bars, saloons, etc... you can do a period pic pretty much anywhere w/ a little sepia or black and white. You can do a James Dean/50's look inside a drive in, a saloon would be a great environment for an old western pic, old signs from the past (could be an ice cream parlor, old Dr. pepper sign or gas station...pose in old clothes, hairdo and w/ a cigarette and it's like you're there- Grease Style). How about a southern belle Gone w/ the Wind look? Is this for a class or portfolio? I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 but I could help as much as I can.
