| Should I take a band class or creative photography art class?
So I'm going to be a junior in high school next year, taking mostly honors and AP/DC classes,I'm in marching band, and I like it and everything, but I don't want to be in a band class. But my band director wants me to take a band class. And I only have two classes I can give up to take it:Spanish 3-which I've heard is good for college to have one extra language class, and I like languagesCreative Photo-it's an art class that teaches photoshop and I heard it's good if you want to learn more about that and maybe go into graphic design, which I am interested in, because my brother's going into it, and I'm interested in it but not very good yet. I also want an art class next year, because they are fun and I like art. I don't mind band class, and I could also see myself doing music in college, if I learn more instruments and more about it. But in a band class there's more festivals and music you have to learn, and extra work I don't want to do. What should I do?

First of all, you are not even in middle school yet, chill out! You don't have to decide what career and college you want to go to yet. Middle school is supposed to be a time where you figure out who you are so you can persue it in high school and get ready for life. It's not a time to stress out. You have an entire life ahead of you to take band, art, and spanish 3,4 and 5! I would suggest taking spanish as your first choice because you may need it for a high school credit and it is easier to get out of the way. And as far as choosing between band and spanish, I'd say go with your gut feeling. But I must say that children who learn music do better in math, and there usually are alot more people who take band so you have a better chance of making new friends in Middle school. And the people I know who stayed in band were very popular in middle school (if that matters to you). Again, go with your gut feeling.
