Is This A Good Camera For Photography... ???

does 5 megapixels produce high quality photos? how many pixels does the average point and shoot camera have?

is the Fuji Finpix S5600 a good camera for photography

Five MP is good depending on the sensor size and the glass.

Fuji makes a fine product but you are stuck using xD cards and not the readily available SD cards.

Some may not agree, but I say go with the most pixels you can afford.

Well, if you are going to spend that much money on a camera, I think you could do a little better. I have an Olympus E-500 SLR, which came with two good-quality lenses, the package costing about $600, U.S. dollars. Olympus doesn't have a wide selection of lenses, but it is a pretty good camera company. However, if you are looking for "the best," as in the "most popular," I would shop for a camera from Canon.

As for megapixels, 5 is good, but you can do a lot better, I think, for not that much more money.
