Wedding Photography in Fiji?

My fiance is Fijian, I'm Australian. We plan to wed in August this year, having two weddings in three days.
I am a photographer, so naturally photos are one of the most important things to me for our wedding.
I obviously can't take the photos myself, but I can't find a decent photographer in Fiji. They all seem to be far behind the times with their skill and editing.
We can't afford to pay thousands to fly a photographer out from Australia to do the job... and so are pretty much stuck.
Does anyone have any ideas for what we can do?
I can't even begin to explain how important photography is to me for our wedding.
I'm beginning to really stress over it.
Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Have friends and family armed with digitals take plenty of ceremony and reception pictures, but go to someones studio for formals as insurance.

Begin training a family member who is going to the ceremonies immediately.

Email this guy - he worked for Time magazine and has recently started shooting weddings - you'll get top notch photos if he can do it for you. He has tons of airline miles and may come out if you can pay for lodging.

you have a few months to give a couple of family members some serious lessons on what you want and how to do it... two members who will have the responsibility and honor of shooting your wedding it can be done, take them on a couple of your shoots and show them how you do what you do and tell them why, explain things to them. then trust them. then trust them.... did i mention to trust them?
seems to be your only option.
i wouldn't dream of shooting a wedding right now, but if someone were to let me work with them and show me how they do what they do and tell me why in a few months i could shoot a wedding and no it would not be easy, but it would be doable.

I live in the Southwest of the states. How much would it cost to fly to Fiji? You pick that part up and I will take care of my own lodging and food.

August is a long way off. Start writing letters to the chamber of commerce, network with other people who will be in Fiji in August, etc.

If you your fiance has family in Fiji figure out who might like to photograph your wedding. Send them a camera and let them practice. You have time. You were smart to ask early.

If it is really important to you then bring your own photographer even tho it will add to the expense of the wedding. When you look back at the photos after you've been married some time, you want to get pleasure, not regret from viewing this important moment in your life.
Clearly, from looking at several sites, other people have come to this conclusion. On one site, I read, they brought a photographer in from Brisbane, cheaper than Adelaide. see http://forum.weddingcentral.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=56421
