Photography for beginners, reccomendations?

I have no idea where to begin? Any good books websites on the history e.t.c..... Also what camera should I get? Please help I am really eager to begin- just dont know where...

Also, go to the library and read all the books you can on photography and apply the lessons you have learned through your research.

Take some online courses or community college courses on photography. There are even some places that give free seminars.
