I need to take photos of Jewerly & Diamonds What lens do I need to get close up? Macro ? Help...

Yep, a macro lens is what you need.

I suggest Nikon's great 28-105. I've used it for shots of camera gear for eBay and its macro function is very sharp.

It's also a good all-purpose walking around lens.

They're about $280 used, about what you'd pay for the cheapest fixed focal length macro.
