Photography Feedback?

im in a photography class and each week we are given a topic like people, landscape, emotions ect.... we can do anything to the picture as long as it fits in the topic. so this week is historical the idea is to make a photo that looks like its from a different time period
so im going for like retro fifty's with a little flare

I like it, can you make the neon signs a bit brighter and make marylin a little more bold so the picture will come out layered, so neon lights first, marylin next, and everything else after that, this is the order your eye will be drawen into and then to see the overall big picture, Great job!

You've succeeded in getting the retro fifty's feel but I can't say that I'm blown away by your picture. Good Photoshopping but is it a good photo?

To me, a picture must tell a story or at the very least it must be quirky. This photograph has neither.

Having said that, I'm still from the old school and lack a certain appreciation for some of the modern stuff.
