| Physics - Moment of Force?
The moment of a force is given by the formula moment = force x perpendicular distance to the pivot Let's say that a person pushing open a door at an angle of greater than 90 degrees to the door (that is, the force is applied in the direction of the pivot), I can't see how the perpendicular distance can be obtained unless it is on the OTHER side of the door. Am I correct? |
