Needing help with basic physics problem?

a car travels along a road at an avg. speed of 40 km/h. On the return the car travels with an avg. speed of 60 km/h. What is the average speed for the round trip?

The ans is 48 km/h but I can't get it =(
but how do you know the distance is 120 km?
