heyhay has a spectacular aura about
physics questions!!?

you don't have to answer all of them. i will take any help i can get =]

1. When you touch a cold piece of ice with your finger, energy flows
a. from your finger to the ice
b. from the ice to your finger
c. actually, both ways

2. Consider a closed, sealed can of air placed on a hot stove. The contained air undergoes an increase in
a. pressure
b .temp
c. mass
d. all of these
e. two of these

3. on a very hot day the pendulum on a clock swings to and fro
a. less frequently
b. more frequently

4. wrapping a hot potato in aluminum foil significantly reduces the rate at which it loses energy by
a. convection
b. radiation
c. conduction

Heat flows from hot to cold.

In a closed, sealed can of air on a hot stove, the pressure and temperature of the air in the container would increase.

If the length of a pendulum increases on a very hot day, the pendulum will swing less frequently.

Depends on how you cook the potatoe. If you cook it in an oven, the foil helps prevent convection heat loss. If you cook
it over a flame, the foil helps prevent the radiant heat loss. Boiling potatoes would be heating by conduction, but I've never heard anyone wrapping the potatoe in foil.

Always from hot to cold! Hot is energy, cold is lack of energy so,
1) a
2)d (mass doesn't change, just pressure and temp
3)I don't know this one, I guess. I thought no change.
4)b- if it's still in the oven baking,
a- if it's on the countertop. The way the question is phrased I would go with a.
