A string on a guitar has a frequency of 440 hz. How should you change each of the following to lower the fundamental to 220hz? ( be specific)
a) length of string
b.) tension
c.) mass per unit of length
d.) diameter

ps. i don't know if this would apply but 345 m/s is also given.

b halve the tension
c double the mass
d diameter relative to twice the mass? i guess you'll need to use area=pi r^2 to figure out twice the area requires in x times the diameter
