Teacher Recommendations?

Heres the question.I plan on applying to colleges such as Carnegie Mellon, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and even Cornell for engineering. My question to you guys is what two teachers of what subjects would you reccomend that I ask?Two teachers for math and physics, or a teacher for math/physics, and random other teacher to show that your abilities aren't concentrated in one area?Preferably answered by people that actually went into prestigious colleges for engineering....

I would go with the Physics teacher for sure and if you had a Geometry math teacher, them too.Two letters of recommendation always looks better than one.Hope this helps

Your best bet is the math & physics. While an English teacher might give you a glowing review as far as your writing skills, your future career is going to be in Engineering. One would have to assume that if you are embarking on such a career, you already have decent writing skills. Math/Science teachers can attest to your abilities in that field, and how it will relate to your major. An alternative might be to obtain a letter from a club that you were heavily involved in like student government or future business leaders. That shows strong leadership and universities also want to see the non-academic side of a student.Best of luck to you!
