physics project robotic doll.. Materials needed? POwer source?

Well I have a physics electricity project...
I want to make the dolls head spin: which would require a dc motor
and make it have flashing eyes:

What can make the eyes flash: what type of lightbulbs

and what is a good power source for both the lightbulb eyes and the dc motor?

1.5 v, 3 volt, 6 vlot, 9 volt potatoe or lemonS?
