| Physics HELP!!?
The annoying sound from a mosquito is produced when it beats its wings at the average rate of 600. wingbeats per second. What is the wavelength? The speed of sound in the air is 340 m/s. The annoying sound from a mosquito is produced when it beats its wings at the average rate of 600. wingbeats per second. What is the frequency of the sound waves? Help Please!! I cannot figure these out |

Well, wingbeats per second is just like saying that's how many times it happens in one second, which is the definition of frequency. So your frequency would be 600. s^(-1), or 600. Hz. As for wavelength, you have the speed of sound and the frequency so you can use the equation v=f?. 340 m/s = (600 s^(-1))? ?=0.567 m |
