| physics: optical instruments and the eye? 1. For the relaxed eye, an image of a very distant object is in focus on the retina. The refractive index of the aqueous humor between the cornea and the lens is 1.38. If the eye were underwater would the amount of light bending at the cornea increase, decrease or stay the same? I think the answer is that it would increase but I'm not sure and I can't explain why... please help  2. The Celestron 60 telescope has an objective with a focal length of 600mm and two eyepieces of focal lengths of 5mm and 25mm. What magnifications does it have?      |
