You learn that life is cruel, and you're not as clever as you once thought you were... Really though, I would suggest going to your college and asking a member of the science or physics faculty for the name of the course textbook(s). They might even be able to lend you a copy from the library seeing as you're going to be a student there. When I went to college I had to buy my textbooks. It can't do you any harm to buy your textbooks ahead of time and give them a bit of a read - just be sure you're getting the correct books! At A-level the course will be quite varied and cover all sorts of topics.      |
