| Physics question Kinetic energy? The mass of a proton is 1836 times the mass an electron, what is the kinetic energy of the proton if both the electron and the proton are travelling at the same speed in terms of K. The relationship I have is (Kp / mp) = (Ke / me) ..( with k and p as subscripts identifying the terms) but I don't undersand how to arrive at this equation algebraically. So my question is less about how to solve the problem and more how to get that equation. |
