My teacher's assignment is:

Write a two-page analysis of the relationship between the form of the poem and its content or meaning in "My Papa's Waltz".

What is the "form of the poem"?

I don't understand what she is asking. I e-mailed her for clarification but she did not respond. I was just curious to know from those familiar with poetry, what exactly is the "form of a poem"..

I think it means the structure, like how many stanzas it's using, what kind of rhythm + rhyme it has, the beats, you know? whether it was a limerick or a haiku or whatever, how that relates to the message of the poem.
