Did you hate poetry in high school?

In high school I was one of the "smart guys" always getting A's and stuff..but poetry, I know we had to do it for english, but I found poetry the equivalent of banging my head on the wall!.

I remember once our teacher read us a poem about a guy playing his guitar and asked what it was about...
we spent 30mins trying to get it..
and do you know what he said...
it was about a man and his wife having sex......(wtf?)
I'm, so glad that's all over now. I a science major at heart.

ironically I'm an artist (drawing) as well; lol.
