Poetry may state facts but it may also have imaginative statements that maybe valued even if the facts are not correct
a) what do you understand by this Statements?

Every poem communicates an idea.

Ideas have value.

There are many poetic devices to consider.

It will be easier to illustrate what you mean if you refer to specific poems that you've read.

Whenever I'm helping a student to understand a poem I look in a set of books called "Poetry for Students". Check your local library Web site (search the catalog) to see if this is available near you.
