| Please read/rate/critique my poetry? My life was going down. I got too drunk to stand. Drunk of trouble. And late nights. Large fights. Public display of depression. And just as I was sobering, it comes out of nowhere. A kick. Being tripped; tricked. Torn down. Still too drunk to think straight. Sober enough to care. And I fall back down, as I was trying to stand. Drunk again in my bittersweet return to unhappiness. Did these people know? No, no, of course not. Did these people care? No, no, likely not. Does anything matter, when you're drunk? No. Am I selfish, weak, and bitter? Yes, yes, yes I am, I suppose. Did those words of unkindness originate from my lips; imagination? No. Do you care? No. No. You don't.      |
