I need help.
Can you please give me some ideas on writing a poem about a lighthouse.
I was thinking of a parts of speech poem with an abab form.

i would use the lighthouse as a metaphor for an actual emotion or situation in life... it will create a poem with depth beyond the actual description of the lighthouse.

Ex: A lighthouse is used a guiding light. You could use this metaphor as a religious poem or as a love poem.

Dense fogs obscures my view
While a beacon in the fog shines
Brightness steers my vessel true
Like a lattice to a bed of vines
