j-jintishy-form of chinese poetic form (based on a series of set tonal patterns using four terms of the classical chinese language)

u-allusion- a passing or casual reference used in poems

v-villanelle- a nineteen line poem using five paragraphs of 3 lines and finishes with one paragraph of 4 lines

w-western canon-traditional form of western poetry


x-hexameter-word used for saying there are six metric feet in a line of poetry


y- imagery-any series of words used to provide a mental image

z-stanza - a unit within a larger poem
