How do feel... about a world without poetry?

To a world without verse.
It wouldn't be home
If it had not a poem.
I'd say doggonit
There's no song or sonnet,
No twin or quintuplet
To write me a couplet
It would be swell, Oh gee!
If I heard an elegy.
But I don't have an urge
To pen a sad dirge.
Just one more time.
Let it rhyme, let it rhyme.

Lost I, in lonely coexistence,
Seek I, most pathetic path,
Admire I, the souls released,
Churn I, emotion's wave,
Burn I, scarcely remnant fervor,
Hide I, in ardent discomfiture,
Love I, petty fancy,
Roughly numbed to callousness.
Live I, soul bereft,
Routed nil, burdened burden's end.

Devoid find I reality.

I'm sorry Siren... I can't write any poems now... I would hate the world without poetry. It seems to be the only thing to cling to sometimes... it may be that I am overly dramatic, considering all the things going through my head right now... I really don't know. Poetry connects people but it does not fix all problems... a very poetic person can be lacking in many places...

would hav to say it would be rather boring! i love thouse cute little poems that my partner leaves for me on the pillow when i get home late or wake up after he has left for work..they give u a little reason to smile!
