Can writing poetry help me get rid of my feelings?

I have a huge crush on this girl in one of my classes. We've never talked to each other, but I sense like I really love her. I don't understand myself why I like her, there is just something about her that attracts me. But I don't think that she has the same feelings as me. Everyday I think about her a lot and it becomes hard to focus on what I am doing at the moment. Lately I've been writing a lot of poems that were inspired by her. I can't share them with her, because I think that she will be freaked out because of my strong feelings. So, can this poetry help me get rid of these feelings, because they are destroying me and my life? If not then how can I get myself to stop liking her so much?

Write the poetry, don't try to suppress your feelings as that can only make it worse. Do you think she could *never* like you? If that's the case throw that out the window. You never know what will happen. Sometimes the one person someone is looking for is the one person they'd least expect. See if she'd want to go get coffee, or just say hi and gradually talk about class or anything, see where it goes. And keep writing, who knows maybe one day she'll come around.
