If I were perfect with no need for disguise,
Then, maybe, I could critisise.
But perfect I am not, and remain with the rest
Making mistakes;
While giving of my best.

Here on the hinterlands of existence, the
transmogrified souls
.... sit bleating, tortured, yammering empty gummed
at the disconnected
.... Novacain suppliers of yesterday's dream.

Empty headed mindless mongrel hordes of
thoughfully nodding empty
headed
.... pacified but angry morons in whose hands our
futures keep.

Transmogrified doggerel of the whimsical poets
of inanity; :::: insanity and
.... breathlessness whispered in the same utterance.

Fools with brilliance of epileptic vision stare
longingly into the dark
night.

The backwoods of daffodils and legendary
mythology framed in whispered breathless
exhortations when the sun was bright
and the sky was blue

We believed the heart

Gothic and Ionian Dorian columns of
early morning hallucinatory drawbridge

Icelandic epics of windswept
seashores and broken trees

Where once hung dying gods
in the ancient days

Raw wood in the naked dawn

Roses giving their short lives
to the afternoon air

Entertaining harpsichord
in the afternoon
