Poetry Help?

I'm working on a sonnet for my English class and I need to know if the following verse is in iambic pentameter:

"Oh God," my soul cries out in anguished pain,
"I can not bear the burden of this test.
I need your Spirit to send the healing rain,
For only in your arms do I find rest."

I'm treating the word "Spirit" as one syllable; is that okay? I seperated it up like this:

"Oh God,"/ my soul/ cries out/ in ang/uished pain,
"I can/ not bear/ the bur/den of/ this test.
I need/ your Spirit/ to send/ the heal/ing rain,
For on/ly in/ your arms/ do I/ find rest."

Yes, that is good as long as Spirit is just one syllable.
Or maybe you could drop 'the'. But you have it correct, iambic pentameter is 10 syllables per line split up into coupets.
