Crouching Doggie has a spectacular aura about
Please help me out with this... I don't have formal training in poetry,...

...but it seems like when I post my... original works in Etiquette, I get splendid and thoughtful reviews, but in poetry, nothing but derision; why is this? I mean, I thought poetry is about creativity, expression, emotion... Why is the quality of my poetry scrutinized like a crime scene, when it's supposed to be about free expression. Granted there are classic pieces by brilliant poets but why do the poetry folks usually disparage my poetry as being too long, and comments like this? I'm not interested in writing in some classic poet's style, that's in conflict with my sense of creativity and artistic integrity.

Thank you for your help.
