It's very weak.You are not painting a picture of nature, which is where the haiku is stronger.This is a senryu, you have the right. So, it does work in that genre.T

This is a very acceptable senryu, especially with the reference to alphabet soup. Chicken soup for the soul...Ha! Poetry is more like it. Poetry and chicken soup, best things for you.

You always say 'I must do what my Granny says' - and here you are doing it....but, you (being you) have that little independent streak....so haiku becomes senryu. I learn something new everyday - looked up senryu on wikipedia - to find out how it differs. You have triumphed, as usual.Good morning! 7.30 am here in good ol' downtown Stourbridge. (not chatting, honest)
