Poetry question.....?

I know people get sick of writers asking for opinions.....but I'm currently printing a book and just wanted to throw this out there and see what people think. Any genuine opinions are welcome. Good or bad, i can take it. Thanks! Love and peace to all--have a wonderful weekend.


I’ve come this far to realize
I know nothing more than love
It’s the only lasting prize
For having kept up…

I’ve seen all the splendor
That is bought and sold
Felt all the winds of fear
That blow thru and make us cold…

Happiness being the illusion
When you’ve climbed the highest hill
But your life time has come to steal
And there’s not much time to kill…

Happiness is finding joy in the moment
No matter what may be thrown your way
Knowing you’re here today, gone tomorrow
So live and love today…

its really a bad idea to put your writer on Y!A because somone could steal your idea.

But yeah, I really like it, it was interesting.

It was okay, but not the best poetry I have read. See, you have a good way of writing about you(i can sense it because i'm a writer as well) but I think that it's lacking a little of, your personal style. Just give it some flair and your own taste, and make it make a little more sense, and it would be good. Congrats on your book!
