If you could save only one book of poetry, which would it be?

If "the day after tomorrow" were upon us and you had time to save only one collection of poetry, which one would you choose? Why would you choose this one?
Sorry, Annabella and Gideon, that's cheating. One book only!

Thats a really hard question. Too much beautiful poetry to choose from.....So i it were doomsday, I wouldn't take a single book at all then. Only if there was one special book you love then would it be of use.
But if you could take a collection of your own poems, I'd surely would. It'll remind me of the happy times I've had. Too live through the end, you gotta have something to keep you alive, to give hope....

Only 1? I would have to pick up my 1946 copy of "a Child's Garden of Verses" by Robert Louis Stevenson. It was my first reader. My father taught me to read using this book, so for sentimenal reasons, it's what I would save.

Good grief! Only one cup of coffee and I'm asked to make a choice? Just glanced at the book shelves behind me...I'm torn!

I know I should think about society and choose Shakespeare or someone with a larger canon...but I would choose Louise Gluck's The Wild Iris for the simple reason that it is the book of poetry that has moved me the most personally.

I know that's a bit of a selfish decision, and there are a lot of other poets that I'd miss.

Complete Works of William Shakespeare.
Because it does not only contains all my favorite sonnets but also included are the evergreen Shakespearean plays, both tragedies and comedies.
