Poets: Do you hate when your poetry doesn't get read? I mean, you want to improve, hardly no one answers it for a number of reasons that normally doesn't have to do with quality(I'm not listing those reasons because I know I would offend a lot of people on this section). Anyways, doesn't that irratate you when you finally share your writing, but it gets very few answers or even none at all? Doesn't that make you feel a bit sad? Your answers would be appreciated. This doesn't relate to me(most of the time at least.) I'm just wondering why some poetry doesn't get any answers and feedback. I'm not asking to SOLVE a problem. I'm just asking a question. Good luck with your life.

Anyone who posts anything for public view subjects him/herself to all sorts of abuse, including that of being ignored. A poet offers to share some part of herself with us, sometimes about something intimate and sensitive. That means taking a risk. You may not like it, but you can't win 'em all. And one more thing, getting few or no responses is a kind of answer itself. It probably isn't the one you want to hear, but that silence is saying something.

I'm not offended with the lack of responses and criticism. It appears to me that most of the poetry that has numerous comments, has them because the poem was lacking something, or was just bad altogether and everyone is happy to be able to point it out. The poems on here that have the fewest responses are normally the ones that have the most en-twinned meanings and users are reluctant to voice an opinion out of fear that they missed the point of the poem.

I guess it makes everyone quite dissapointed if someone dosn`t readthere poems but if you look at it from another prospective you will realize that everbody has a different interest in poetry itself. someone will love to read about love, while someone will take a quick glance and forget about it like yesterdays news. Every poem has meaning to it. It just depends on how you understand it...

I try to answer but my answers sometimes sound stupid, I am afraid to post for the fear of someone stealing it, I hope they don't I've been writing for 13 years and I love my poems. I will try to answer as many as I can, personally; if I see yours I will.

I don't like poems that are egocentric, like I felt this, I did that, etc. When I start to read poems on YA and they're like that I just click ithem off. I don't need to feel my ego more that I do already. I like poems that take me out, make me think about or feel other things other than being sad about myself.
