Why Does Renaming Poetry to 'Rapping" Render it Cool?

Just a query- Personally, I think its wierd how we disguise otherwise unpopular enthusiasms and all of a sudden they're great.

who says poetry is unpopular? Who says rapping is cool? What other enthusiasms? be specific. Don't ask questions with holes in it just to ask something!

Who said rapping was poetry? There's a big deference! Poetry is pleasing to hear and rapping is full of crap mostly.

Well if Robert Frost had written about bitches and hos i don't think he would be considered a great poet. And if Eminem had said:
Precipitate in love,
Tossed, tangled, whirled and whirled above,
Like a limp rose-wreath in a fairy dance.

he would probably have been laughed off the stage. Rapping is not poetry, no matter how much the rappers say it is.
