poetry -good or bad?

I would never tell her that, when I got into my car I was thinking about her. That I forgot to put on my seat belt because I was thinking about her. That I forgot to turn on my lights because I was thinking about her. That I completely ignored an officer flashing his lights at me because I was thinking about her. That, when the officer asked me what the hell was I doing, I didn't know what to say, because I was thinking about her.

I would never tell her that I missed our exit on purpose that night, to buy more time. That despite the pursuit of pancakes at 2 in the morning being my idea, I wasn't hungry. That I was smiling against my will, and that she had everything to do with it. That she was unique.

I would never tell her about any of this, and I never will. It all comes down to words being too cheap, I believe that she deserves something a bit more prosperous. That, and I am broke.
