Are you your own best poetry editor?

I am the most caustic editor of my own work. When I write a poem , there are a lot of lines and words hacked out with notations of "CRAP!" next to the especially bad parts and many lines are preceded with ??? which means "this is probably crap, let it sit for a day or so and see if it starts to stink." Normally it does.

How about you?

Are you your own best editor when it comes to your work?
