Poetry.com---Has Anyone Actually Asked?

My 67 year old mother discovered that they were selling her poem on plaques, mugs, shirts etc... and was brought to tears because this has been a dream of her for many years. She just doesn't have the funds to bring it forth. So seeing it on poetry. com was a lot for her. She ask me in a sad voice "can they do this? I did not give permission" So I began seeking answers. On their order page the have a box stating you are either the author of the poem or have PERMISSION from the author to order a product with the poem on it. Simply put check mark in the box! No proof require u have permission or anything. I called to asked who gets the money(which is obvious). I just need to hear it for myself of course they never answer had me on hold for about twenty minutes I finally hung up. So does any one know where the money goes? Is it legal, my mom did not sign anything stating they have permission to put her poems on products and sell. Did anyone give permission? Please let me know
