what kind of poetry is this consider?

i just wrote this and it may not be that great but i wanted to know if this would be considered as free verse. i was thinking about entering it into a poetry competition


it's been months that i've felt
felt for a person with no feeling
i bow my head
with shame
ashamed of this unbalance
while my stomach is expanding
and the seasons are slowly changing
i become spiritless
my heart becomes angry
it shatters within me
and i cry
my tears fall
and they take my love with them
plopping beneath my feet
as i pace the room
the sun is shining
but my face does not

1 thing....I don't like the word "plopping"
I don't feel that it fits the tone...I'm not sure what i would put instead, but I'll get back to you on that... =)
