| Please Help! I need you opinion? am being sued by a private parking company. They claim I have 7 tickets for 40 dollar each. I read city ordanice that cover regional parking. 6-10.04. Amount of Fee. No mail-in parking fee charged pursuant to this chapter shall exceed the initial amount of bail for violation of Municipal Code Section 4-6.301 (signed private parking) which currently is $20. No late charge or other fee shall be imposed unless expressly authorized by a resolution of the City Council. Sec. 6-10.02. Compliance with This Chapter. It shall be unlawful, and an unfair business practice within the meaning of Business and Professions Code Section 17200 for any person in an offstreet parking lot to charge a mail-in parking fee, or to issue or cause to be issued a notice of parking charge that is not in compliance with this chapter. Any notice of parking charge that is not in compliance with this chapter shall be invalid. The tickets where initally 20 then jumped to 40. Shouldnt i win? If i fight it |
