Are these candidates really the BEST we have to offer?? I am having a VERY hard time believing that McCain, Obama or Clinton are really the best people we have available to run our country. If they truely are, the USA is in a much sorrier state that I thought it was. When is the younger generation going to step up and get involved? The average age of the Congress is 57yrs, Representatives 55.93 and Senators 61.73. The average age of Americans is something like 33.7. Why can we not find some people to run this country that are more in touch with reality and what is actually going on in this world. Why are we as Americans so driven by party politics rather than by what is best for the citizens of the USA?I agree we say that every 4 years. it always seems like we are deciding between a donkey and a jackass. Why are the leaders of our parties so out of touch with the country?

Are these candidates really the BEST we have to offer?? Dear God, I hope not. It seems like once every few years we are given a choice that just isn't much of a choice. Remember Ford vs Carter? We just have to grin and bear it until the next election cycle.

Are these candidates really the BEST we have to offer?? Because the really GREAT people out there don't want to ruin their reputation by being president. They also would never be able to convince people that the best methods really ARE the best. The best solutions are usually conceived from the bottom up & they must be made to sound good(which is very difficult) while the worst ones start with something that sounds good & they try to make it work. Imagine trying to convince 51% in 1980 that the computer was the wave of the future & would make our lives easier.

Are these candidates really the BEST we have to offer?? Of course none of those candidates are the best people for the job. Hell, I'd be surprised if they even made the top 1,000 list when it comes to the best, most qualified people to lead our country and fix our nation's problems. Realize that the primary candidates it comes down to has nothing to do with who's the best person for the job, it's the best person to do their own sides bidding. None of these people have the slightest idea of what it'll take to be a good president, and whoever gets elected will abuse their powers in their parties own selfish interests anyways. The days of electing the right man for the job is long gone, what it comes down to now is just a bitching party battle between the republicans and the democrats. They do everything in their power to bring discredit to the other side, when they should really be focusing on the prevalent issues at hand. Each party doesn't share the slightest concern for the common man, they only care about the power, and are willing to use the single most credible forerunner that'll spew the most believable lies in order to offer their party the greatest chance for victory.I'm sure if our country's forefathers could see what our elections and democracy has been reduced to in this modern day and age, they would be kicking in their graves.
